The Educational Partnerships Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting and advancing our long-term commitment to expanding educational partnerships. This role involves developing both short- and long-term programs aimed at inspiring, educating, and engaging audiences from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and possesses the ability to align organizations in support of The Application’s academic and career initiatives.

Working closely with program staff, the Project Manager will promote The Application’s "Free College Application Program," establish connections with secondary schools and post-secondary institutions, and foster career pathways between The Application and higher education institutions, with a focus on minority-serving institutions.

The PM will collaborate extensively with external stakeholders, including university admissions and career center staff, professors, high school counselors, students, and community organizations nationwide. The successful candidate will bring strategic leadership, project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills to the role.

This position currently offers a hybrid work arrangement.


Responsibilities:

  • Identifying Partnership Opportunities: Research and identify potential partnership opportunities with secondary and post-secondary institutions aligned with The Application’s goals.
  • Building Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at educational institutions, including school administrators, counselors, and department heads.
  • Monitoring Partnership Performance: Track and evaluate partnership performance metrics such as student engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Troubleshooting and Conflict Resolution: Address issues or conflicts arising during partnerships promptly and effectively.
  • Communicating with Stakeholders: Keep internal teams informed about partnership activities and progress, and maintain regular communication with external stakeholders to strengthen relationships.
  • Staying Updated on Industry Trends: Stay informed about developments and trends in the education sector to identify new partnership opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks related to partnership management, including drafting agreements, maintaining records, and preparing reports for senior management.


Qualifications:

You Must Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years of college coursework (associate degree) in psychology, education, social work, vocational studies, or related fields, plus at least two years of experience in social agencies or human resources. Alternatively, appropriate experience and/or special training may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in college access, secondary education, and/or higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders at various levels within educational institutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn The Application’s specific database(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in partnership management, business development, or education administration.
  • Experience working within the education sector, particularly with secondary and post-secondary institutions.
  • Knowledge of labor markets, careers, and job search techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including resume and cover letter writing, public speaking, and email communication.

Additional Details:
