Ten FAFSA Resources:

  1. Federal Student Aid Website. This is the official website for the US Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid office. It contains information on the available aid types, how to apply for support, and managing students’ approval once they receive it (Page et al., 2021). The impact of the Federal Student Aid Website is positive. It has helped many students get the financial aid they need for their studies.

  2. FAFSA4caster. FAFSA4caster is a Federal Student Aid tool allowing individuals to estimate their eligibility for federal student aid. The device is helpful because it gives students and families an early idea of their potential eligibility for financial assistance. This can help with college planning and decision-making. Additionally, because the tool provides estimates for various types of aid, it can also help identify other funding sources that may be available. The impact of FAFSA4caster is that it can help students and their families better understand the financial aid process and make more informed decisions about college affordability.

  3. FAFSA on the Web Worksheet is a worksheet from the Federal Student Aid office that enables students to gather the information they need to complete their FAFSA form (Page et al., 2021). It provides a way for students to complete the FAFSA form online. Students and parents can complete the form, which is a helpful tool for those not comfortable with completing the form on paper.

  4. FSA ID. The FSA ID is a username and password that students will use to sign their FAFSA form electronically. Students must create an FSA ID before filling out their form online. It allows students to sign the FAFSA form electronically (Page et al., 2021). This makes the process of applying for financial aid faster and easier.

  5. CSS Profile. The CSS Profile is a form of financial assistance used by some colleges and universities in addition to the FAFSA form. It is applicable. The CSS collects information about the family’s financial situation, including income, assets, and expenses.

  6. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA form is used to apply for federal student aid. It determines the student’s federal aid eligibility, including grants, loans, and work-study.

  7. FinAid is also a website that provides information on student loans, grants, and other types of financial aid.

  8. Studentaid.gov has a lot of helpful information about filling out the FAFSA and applying for financial assistance in general.

  9. StudentLoans.gov also has a section on completing the FAFSA with helpful tips.

College Navigator is a Department of Education website that helps students find colleges that fit their needs and budget.
